What does U&I Ventures invest in? U&I Ventures invests in the infrastructure that makes AI reliable, safe and usable inside the enterprise. Our focus areas are agent security, non-human identity, and tooling across the engineering, IT and security stack. We believe the biggest outcomes of this AI shift will come from the plumbing that supports AI innovation within the enterprise.
What stage does U&I Ventures invest in? U&I Ventures invests at the seed stage, often as one of the first checks into a company. We are flexible, value driven investors and we write $250K-$800K+ checks.
What makes U&I Ventures different from other seed funds?U&I Ventures is backed by a curated community of roughly 1,800 senior technology executives, including CIOs, CTOs and CISOs. These are the buyers our founders are building for. They give early product feedback, open doors to design partners and customers, and help with hiring. Cash is a commodity; access and trust are not.
How does the U&I operator community help founders?U&I founders get direct introductions to community members who match their ICP, from first customer conversations to advisory relationships. We also host convenings where founders hear what security and IT leaders actually need and want. Kim Cooper leads U&I’s value creation platform, combining trusted operator relationships with data and rigor to shape investment decisions, accelerate customer acquisition and drive portfolio company growth. Cooper comes from a 20-year career at Google, where she worked directly for co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, former CEO Eric Schmidt, and former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki.
We are outcomes oriented by design.
Who are the limited partners (LPs) associated with U&I Ventures? U&I Ventures Fund I is backed by a mix individual technology operators, institutional investors, and GPs of funds we regularly partner with on deals. That mix is on purpose. Cash is a commodity. Our LPs give product feedback early, make warm introductions, and often become a startup’s first enterprise customer or design partner. We keep the identities of our individual LPs confidential. LPs who choose to be recognized publicly will be listed on their own LinkedIn.
What kind of founders does U&I Ventures back?We back pre-seed and seed founders solving problems that are mandatory, not nice-to-have. When enterprises move from human-centric to agent-centric operations, someone has to secure those agents, govern them, trace them, and keep them running. Our founders build that plumbing. Our founders have deep domain expertise. Our founders have a figure-it-out mindset, move fast, listen to customers, and have unparalleled grit.
